I hope you’re well.
I know that here in Australia we are in the enviable position of very few cases of COVID19 now. It’s horrible to see the news and realise that’s not the same for many others and I wish you all the best wherever you are!
After being in isolation for about 12 weeks, my family and I have started to take shy steps out into the world again. It’s amazing how the little things, like a walk down your own street, can feel so new and so good. Or having a chat with someone, who may be a few feet away, but there in the flesh nevertheless. It’s like falling in love with your life again.
I hope I can continue appreciating all the small things that are good in my life, but that get overlooked in the everyday. But like any new love affair, the first steps are tentative. It could all come crashing down. After (worthy) protests throughout Australia that saw tens of thousands of people gathered together without social distancing, there could be a flare-up.
But for now I’m going to bask in the glow of the novelty of my brave new world. I won’t be heading out too far or planning any parties just yet, but if you are, here’s a song for you 🙂 https://youtu.be/XjipHVFNdJ4
I always love hearing from you, so please get in touch and let me know how you’re doing.
I hope your slice of the world is treating you well.
All the best,
